it’s all…… under …..control……

“If everything seems under control,” said auto racer Mario Andretti, “you’re probably not moving fast enough.” I second that emotion. It applies to the entire human race, which is swirling through evolutionary tipping points at an accelerating speed. But it’s doubly apropos for you spiritual freedom fighters and renegade bodhisattvas, because you’re the vanguard shock troops fighting to merge heaven with earth.    –   Rob Brezsny, Astrologer  –  from his Facebook note: “Strategies for plying a chronic, low-key, blissful union with everything you’re not”

Apparently I don’t handle chaos very well.  Long story short – we looked for another house in the Flagstaff area.  We found one and bought it. We move in to that house in two weeks.  Trying to keep a handle on normal, everyday life AND plan for move and get the current house ready for renting out has been all consuming.  I don’t have time to dream or write or anything other than make sure I bathe an adequate amount per week, and keep my family fed.

I miss this place in cyberspace.  I miss trying to communicate.  I miss comments on my posts…letting me know that others have heard/related to what I wrote.

Soon come,

Naima

    Oh Naima,
Sweet soul, I hear you! This post and the quote from The Alchemist have spoken so deeply to my heart. I am right there with you. My family will be moving at the end of this month, as our lease has come up, and we are in the process of buying our first home… As it appears now Arlo and I will be staying about an hour & a half away from where we live now with my parents while Josh stays in our town for work, all while we wait for our closing… This is just one raging wind in the hurricane of our lives of late.
Reading the quote you posted from The Alchemist was such a bright glimmer of hope! It put so much in perspective.
So much love, light and comfort to you and your family in these times of rapid evolution and realizing dreams. May you find moments to dream, and be, write, and bask. My heart is holding you.

    • Maggie, you have no idea how much your comment means to me. I feel as if I am drowning in depression at a time when I “should” feel much better. I shall prevail and so shall you. Love to you.

It’s unfortunate that moving as fast as we can, doing as much as we can, is accepted (even lauded).

And I’m sure that you still have lots of work to do getting settled. Building a home is somehow more fun than packing one up, though. And there’s a sense that you have a bit more time, once all your stuff’s in once location…

I hope you like your new place, Naima!

Emphasis on “chronic, low-key and blissful” – you’ll get there:) *We’ll* get there:)

And when that moment flies by at 5 million mph, you’ll know that you’re moving at just the right speed…

    And then it will pass.

    I ❤ you!
